Aurora Rincon was born in
Merida, Venezuela. She received her BFA
from the Corcoran
Collage of Art and Design in Washington, DC.
Rincon has had
numerous solo and group exhibits around the world.
Women are
the primary subjects of Rincon's work.
"My
art work can best be defined as a construction of layers derived from
my own psychological, physical and spiritual
experiences as a woman,"
states Rincon. "This journey of my
soul, from one experience to another,
has come to represent my present and truthful being. It
is about a feeling
of coexistence with me, with every woman, with all women
everywhere.
At the end, I expose my soul in each and every one of my paintings
and
sculptures -- proving that the spiritual energy and creativity of one can
spread to the hearts and souls of others."
